Refund policy

Refund and Cancellation Policy (Digital Crochet Patterns) 

Due to the nature of our products—digital, non-tangible goods (PDF patterns) that are instantly delivered and downloaded—our policy regarding returns and refunds must be adjusted.

30-Day Refund Policy

We want you to be confident in your purchase. You have 30 days after the date of purchase to request a refund.

To be eligible for a refund, you must demonstrate that you have not downloaded the digital file. Once the file has been successfully downloaded, the sale is considered final.

To start a refund request, you must contact us immediately at leigh@leighthayer.com and provide your proof of purchase (receipt or order number). We will verify your download status before processing the request.

Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items

Digital Goods and Downloads: Because our patterns are non-tangible, instantly accessible digital products, we do not accept "returns" or "exchanges." Once the file is downloaded, the item is considered fully delivered and the sale is final.

  • No Guarantee of Outcome: We sell the pattern file (roadmap) and instructions; we do not guarantee the finished garment will work due to variations in yarn, tension, and individual skill.

  • Final Sale Items: Unfortunately, we cannot accept refunds on sale items or gift cards.

Refund Process

We will notify you once we’ve received your refund request and verified your purchase and download status.

  • If Approved: If we confirm the pattern file was never downloaded after purchase, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days.

  • If Denied: If the pattern file was successfully accessed or downloaded, the refund request will be denied.

Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since we approved your refund, please contact us at leigh@leighthayer.com.

Damages and Issues (Technical Errors)

Please inspect your order upon reception. If the item is defective (e.g., the PDF file is corrupted or won't open), contact us immediately at leigh@leighthayer.com so that we can evaluate the issue and deliver a replacement file right away.

European Union 14-Day Cooling Off Period

Notwithstanding the above, if you are located in the European Union, you have the right to cancel your purchase within 14 days. However, by clicking the "Download Now" button for the pattern file, you acknowledge and agree that you forfeit your right to cancel or obtain a refund.
